Course Description

The Swim: 1/4 Miles

The swim course is an inverted V shape. You can expect water temperatures in the low-mid 60's. The water is generally clear with a sandy ocean bottom. Water depths range from 8 - 12 feet at the deepest sections. Wetsuits are mandatory. Lifeguards and kayakers will keep you safe and on course.

The Bike: 11 Miles

The bike course features a one loop 11 mile course through some beautiful sections of Green Harbor. The course is almost entirely flat and fast excepting a short hill on Webster Street. Athletes will exit transition and head north on Gurnet Road which becomes Canal Street, right on Careswell Street (RT 139), follow into Brant Rock, left onto Ocean Street, left on Parsonage Street, left on Webster Street, left on Careswell (RT 139), right on Canal Street/ Gurnet Road and follow back to transition. The bike course is open to vehicular traffic. Traffic is expected to be light on Sunday morning, but please use caution at all times. All major intersections and turns will be staffed by police and/or volunteers.

The Run: 3 Miles

The run course features a 3-mile out-and-back beach run on hard packed sand at low tide. One Aid station services you both at Mile 1 and Mile 2. The Aid Station will be serving water only. Returning athletes always rave about the beach run as it adds a unique compliment to beautiful course!.

Note: Per USA Triathlon rules: use of iPod, MP3 player, headphones, radios or the like will result in disqualification.
